Frequently Asked Questions

A porch is a covered structure attached to the entrance of a building, often larger and used for sitting. A stoop is a small staircase with a landing at the entrance, typically uncovered and more utilitarian.

A stoop should typically be 3 to 5 feet deep, allowing enough space for comfortably entering and exiting a doorway. The depth can vary based on the architectural style and available space.

Standard stoop sizes vary, but typically they are about 3-5 feet deep and 4-8 feet wide. The height usually matches standard step heights, around 7 inches, with 1 to 3 steps leading to the entrance. Always check local building codes for precise requirements.

Stoops can be built using various materials and designs, such as concrete stoops, wooden stoops, brick stoops, and stone stoops. They can feature straight or curved steps, railings, and decorative elements, accommodating traditional or modern aesthetics to complement the building's style.

After the job started, we decided to add our side steps along the side of our house. Their team was professional and courteous to work with. After each day of work, John and Miles touched base with us to see if we were happy with the progress. After the job was complete, we decided to have All Paving & Masonary LI to change oue existing retaining wall garden on the other side of our house to match the new pavers and retaing wall that was just completed.
