Frequently Asked Questions

A porch is a covered outdoor structure attached to a building, often larger and more versatile for seating or activities. A stoop is a small staircase or landing at the entrance, typically uncovered and more functional for accessing the door.

A stoop should generally be at least 36 inches deep to provide adequate space for door clearance and comfortable use. However, consider local building codes or specific design preferences, as they can vary.

Standard stoop sizes vary, but typically range from 3 to 5 feet deep and 5 to 7 feet wide. The steps are generally around 7 inches high and 11 inches deep. Local codes and personal preferences might influence these dimensions.

Stoops can be built in various styles, including concrete, brick, stone, metal, and wood. They can feature designs like straight, curved, tiered, or with integrated planters, seating, or railings to complement the architectural style of a building.

After the job started, we decided to add our side steps along the side of our house. Their team was professional and courteous to work with. After each day of work, John and Miles touched base with us to see if we were happy with the progress. After the job was complete, we decided to have All Paving & Masonary LI to change oue existing retaining wall garden on the other side of our house to match the new pavers and retaing wall that was just completed.
