Frequently Asked Questions

Patio pavers are flat, durable stones or blocks used to create outdoor flooring surfaces, typically for patios, walkways, or driveways. Made from materials like concrete, brick, or natural stone, they interlock to form a stable, decorative surface, with a variety of colors and patterns.

Under pavers, you typically lay a base of compacted gravel or crushed stone for stability, followed by a layer of sand. The sand provides a smooth, level surface for setting the pavers and helps with proper drainage by filling gaps between paver joints.

Bluestone is typically more expensive than concrete pavers due to its natural origin and aesthetic appeal. However, costs can vary based on region, quality, and specific type of bluestone or pavers, so it's advisable to compare prices locally for the most accurate assessment.

Bluestone patios typically last 30-50 years with proper maintenance. Their longevity depends on factors like installation quality, climate, and regular upkeep, such as sealing and cleaning.

After the job started, we decided to add our side steps along the side of our house. Their team was professional and courteous to work with. After each day of work, John and Miles touched base with us to see if we were happy with the progress. After the job was complete, we decided to have All Paving & Masonary LI to change oue existing retaining wall garden on the other side of our house to match the new pavers and retaing wall that was just completed.
